Workshop: Learn Opera Singing

-

We have a unique opportunity to explore the world of opera via singing exercises and demos at opera workshops by In Toto Music Collective, hosted in the heart of Vauxhall, here at the Foundry.

These 45-minute workshops are open to anyone who is interested in learning more about opera in a fun and interractive way, lead by a team of young professional performers: pianist/composer Sam Peña and opera singer Emma Jüngling. Their goal is to bring interactive classical music projects to communities, and to go beyond the boundaries and challenge the clichés surrounding the art of opera.

Sam and Emma believe that music is an important tool to develop communication skills, encourage creativity and broaden imagination. Making music with others develops our listening skills and helps us become more aware of others. It also releases a ton of endorphins and makes one more self-confident. Music truly is a powerful team-building tool.

These workshops are based on Sam and Emma's work around one of the most famous operas ever written: Carmen by Bizet. Get ready to explore the world of classical music and to participate in engaging performing experiences.

Everyone in welcome - there is no need for any prior musical knowledge or performance history!

Between 9am and 12:30 we are hosting four 45-minute long workshops with a maximum capacity of 10 people at a time.

You can book a time that suits you the best using the button below. Alternatively, you can email us at events@aplaceforchange.co.uk . If your preferred workshop is fully booked, please do get in touch and we can see if there is anything that we can do to accommodate you.
